Discovery of the Body
On January 5, 2006, individuals traversing a vacant field at the southeast corner of 70th Avenue and Federal Boulevard in Westminster, Colorado, stumbled upon a grim scene. Beneath a blanket lay the lifeless body of an adult male, initially presumed to be a homeless individual seeking refuge. Upon closer inspection, it became evident that the man had been brutally assaulted and beaten, leading to his death.
Victim Identification
The deceased was identified as 55-year-old Charles "Charlie" Sharpe, born on September 30, 1951. Sharpe was known within the local community as a homeless man who often camped in the area where his body was found.
