On May 22, 2017, the Auburn Gresham neighborhood on Chicago's South Side was shaken by the tragic death of 24-year-old Antoine D. Alexander. Known for his engaging personality and creative talents, Antoine's life was abruptly ended, leaving a void in the community that knew and loved him.
The Fateful Morning
It was around 11:27 a.m. when Antoine was seated in a vehicle near his residence in the 8400 block of South Hermitage Avenue. Without warning, an unidentified assailant approached the car and fired multiple shots, striking Antoine in the back and buttocks.
