On December 18, 2009, Orlyn "Charlie" Conklin, a 41-year-old security guard, was shot and killed outside the United Foods general store on North Main Street in Dayton, Ohio. The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m., and police were uncertain at the time if robbery was the motive behind the shooting.
