A Tragic Evening in Wilmington
On November 11, 2011, at approximately 8:55 p.m., Wilmington police were dispatched to the 200 block of North Madison Street following reports of a shooting incident. Upon arrival, officers discovered 31-year-old Anderson Brown suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical attention, Brown succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The circumstances surrounding the shooting were unclear, and the assailant(s) remained unidentified.
The Aftermath and Initial Investigation
In the days following the murder, the Wilmington Police Department launched an intensive investigation. Detectives canvassed the neighborhood, interviewed potential witnesses, and collected forensic evidence from the crime scene. Despite their efforts, leads were scarce.
