A Fateful Voyage

On May 28, 2023, a charter fishing expedition near Sitka, Alaska, turned tragic when the vessel Awakin capsized amid rough seas. Among the five individuals on board was 61-year-old Robert Solis from Canoga Park, California, who remains missing to this day. The incident has left families grieving and authorities searching for answers.

The Ill-Fated Crew

The Awakin was helmed by 32-year-old Captain Morgan Robidou of Sitka.
