A Tragic Encounter on Southeast Military Drive
On the evening of July 13, 2014, 35-year-old Nicholas Leigh Bosmans was driving his 1997 Jeep Wrangler along Southeast Military Drive in San Antonio. Accompanied by passengers, including 29-year-old Jesus Francisco Romero, Bosmans inadvertently cut off a red car. This seemingly minor traffic mishap escalated rapidly into a deadly confrontation.
Escalation to Violence
As Bosmans continued westward, a gold, four-door Chevrolet Impala approached from the left. The occupants of the red and gold vehicles appeared to be acquainted, as observed by Bosmans' passengers. A man inside the gold Impala began shouting at Bosmans, demanding he pull over. Without warning, the situation turned violent when the man produced a handgun and opened fire on the Jeep.
