A Promising Young Life Cut Short
On the evening of June 1, 2024, the vibrant community of Northeast Washington, D.C., was shaken by a tragic event that claimed the life of 15-year-old Victor Bolden. At approximately 10:34 p.m., Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 600 block of 18th Street, Northeast. Upon arrival, they discovered Victor suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite being rushed to a local hospital, his injuries proved fatal, and he was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
A Devastated Family Remembers
Victor's untimely death left his family grappling with profound grief. His uncle, Chris Bolden, who had assumed a paternal role following the death of Victor's father in 2016, expressed the depth of his sorrow: "What he meant to me... he was more than a nephew.
