A Disappearance That Began Like an Ordinary Day
On May 11, 2017, David Allen McAllister disappeared from Bettendorf, Iowa, leaving behind a mystery that has remained unresolved for more than nine years. David was a 22-year-old young man who had been living with his family in the Quad Cities area. He left home during the early morning hours, reportedly telling his family that he expected to return later that evening. Nothing about that statement suggested he intended to disappear permanently. Yet the evening came and went without David returning, and his family would soon find themselves facing an increasingly frightening reality. David had vanished without providing any explanation of where he was going, whom he might have been meeting, or why he would suddenly stop communicating with the people closest to him.
His disappearance became particularly concerning because family members described David as someone who maintained contact with them, even when traveling independently. Although he enjoyed exploring unfamiliar places and had previously demonstrated a willingness to travel considerable distances, his complete silence was inconsistent with what his loved ones expected from him. The circumstances surrounding his departure, combined with the disappearance of his communication activity later that day, would become central elements of the investigation.
Who Was David Allen McAllister?
David Allen McAllister was born on November 26, 1995, to Marilyn and Jeff McAllister. He grew up in a family that included two brothers and was living with his parents in Bettendorf at the time he disappeared. Those familiar with David described him as independent, resourceful, and enthusiastic about spending time outdoors. He enjoyed hiking and camping, activities that reflected his interest in exploring the world beyond his immediate surroundings. His adventurous personality was an important part of his life, but it also presented investigators with a difficult challenge when attempting to determine where he might have traveled after leaving home. on Vanished at Sea: The Mysterious Disappearance of Cameron Booth Off Chincoteague's Coast
He was a criminal, an abuser, likely who didn't want to face justice of his actions and took his own life because he could not face the consequences of what he did. The victims have told the family his crimes, with evidence. The family knows he was arrested and convicted of possession of CSAM. They know who and what he was. And they're all so equally sick they live in comfort that the victims don't want to retraumatize themselves over everything he put them through. Dont support this families sick parade of using a monster to get sympathy. He was never ashamed of who he was. He loudly boasted his crimes and justified them. The family shouldn't sit there and pretend, how far from reality are they to sit and post this man publicly on news outlets, websites, knowing who he is. Do they need attention that badly? They don't want the attention from the truth. The victims will never get justice. Do not pray for him o
