A Promising Life Cut Short
Robert Eric Wone, born on June 1, 1974, in New York City, was a fourth-generation Chinese American raised in Brooklyn. A valedictorian graduate of Xaverian High School, he pursued higher education at the College of William & Mary, where he was recognized as a James Monroe Scholar. It was during his time there that he forged a significant friendship with Joseph Price, a senior student sharing similar interests in student government and honor societies. Wone's academic journey continued at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, from which he graduated with honors in 1999. His professional career was marked by a dedication to law and public service, notably serving as general counsel for Radio Free Asia and actively participating in the Asian American community. Tragically, his life was abruptly ended on August 2, 2006, under circumstances that continue to baffle investigators.

Wone arrived at approximately 10:30 PM, intending to spend the night after a long day at work. Less than an hour later, at 11:49 PM, Zaborsky made a frantic 9-1-1 call reporting that Wone had been stabbed. First responders arrived swiftly, finding Wone unresponsive with three stab wounds to his chest and abdomen. Despite immediate medical attention, he was pronounced dead at 12:24 AM on August 3....Read More
