Introduction

On July 4, 2023, the small community of New Lisbon, Wisconsin, was shaken by the sudden disappearance of 43-year-old Leya Marie Stewart. Despite extensive searches and statewide alerts, Leya remains missing, leaving her family and the community desperate for answers.

The Day She Vanished

Leya was last seen around 2 p.m. on July 4, 2023, near 43rd Street and 19th Avenue in the town of Lemonweir, close to New Lisbon. She was reportedly on foot, wearing black shorts and a dark-colored tank top, and notably without shoes. Authorities have indicated that she may have been under the influence of a controlled substance at the time of her disappearance.
