Initial Disappearance
On December 1, 2021, 15-year-old Zackari Gann was reported missing in Bixby, Oklahoma. He was last seen leaving Epic Church, wearing a black baseball hat with a white "SOX" emblem, a maroon shirt, black skinny jeans with small rips, a black chain on his pants, and black and white Six Ring Jordan shoes with red and green details. His mother, Lauren Gann, expressed deep concern, stating, "I need help finding him, and I want to find him alive."
Mother's Plea and Community Efforts
Lauren revealed that Zackari suffered from chronic PTSD and had been struggling with depression since his dismissal from Bixby Public Schools. She described his love for the community and school activities, particularly football. In the days following his disappearance, Lauren and her family tirelessly searched for Zackari, distributing flyers and knocking on doors.
