On January 19, 2020, Louisville Metro Police Department officers responded to a call at a residence on Symington Circle in east Louisville. Upon arrival, they discovered the lifeless body of 62-year-old Darrell Lynn Buford. The circumstances surrounding his death immediately raised suspicions of foul play, prompting the initiation of a homicide investigation.
Unveiling a Troubled Past
As investigators delved into Buford's background, a disturbing history of sexual offenses emerged. In 1993, while residing in Paducah, Kentucky, Buford was convicted on multiple counts of sexual crimes involving family members.
