On June 30, 1999, the body of 41-year-old Ricky McCormick was discovered in a cornfield near West Alton, Missouri. The circumstances surrounding his death were perplexing. However, the most baffling aspect was the discovery of two handwritten notes in his pockets, filled with a jumble of letters and numbers that appeared to be encrypted messages.

The Enigmatic Notes

The notes found on McCormick were composed of a series of letters and numbers arranged in a seemingly random pattern. The FBI's Cryptanalysis and Racketeering Records Unit (CRRU) attempted to decipher the messages but were unsuccessful. Despite assistance from the American Cryptogram Association, the codes remain unbroken.
