A Routine Voyage Turns Tragic
On November 21, 1992, David Seelye vanished off the coast of Prince of Wales Island in Southeast Alaska. According to the Alaska Department of Public Safety, Seelye was aboard a tugboat that capsized and sank in Farragut Bay . The incident occurred under challenging environmental conditions, and Seelye was presumed to have drowned. Despite search efforts, his body was never recovered.
