Peter Dwight Germain, a 76-year-old man, chose a life of solitude in the remote wilderness of Alaska. Residing approximately 40 miles west of Trapper Creek, Germain embraced the isolation, living in a cabin accessible only by snowmachine or aircraft. His only link to the outside world was a Garmin inReach satellite communicator, a device he used to send his last known message on February 25, 2020.
On that February day, Germain sent a text message via his satellite communicator from his remote property. The content of the message has not been publicly disclosed, but it marked the last time anyone heard from him. He was believed to be heading out to cut wood near his cabin, a routine task in his daily life.
When Germain failed to make further contact, concerns grew. A search of his cabin and the surrounding buildings revealed no signs of his whereabouts. The area, known for its challenging terrain and harsh weather conditions, posed significant obstacles to search efforts.
Three months after his disappearance, on May 26, 2020, a breakthrough occurred. Searchers found Germain's snowmachine and a backpack containing his wallet, clothing, ski goggles, and other miscellaneous items. This discovery provided a crucial lead but also deepened the mystery, as there was still no trace of Germain himself. on Vanished at Sea: The Mysterious Disappearance of Cameron Booth Off Chincoteague's Coast
He was a criminal, an abuser, likely who didn't want to face justice of his actions and took his own life because he could not face the consequences of what he did. The victims have told the family his crimes, with evidence. The family knows he was arrested and convicted of possession of CSAM. They know who and what he was. And they're all so equally sick they live in comfort that the victims don't want to retraumatize themselves over everything he put them through. Dont support this families sick parade of using a monster to get sympathy. He was never ashamed of who he was. He loudly boasted his crimes and justified them. The family shouldn't sit there and pretend, how far from reality are they to sit and post this man publicly on news outlets, websites, knowing who he is. Do they need attention that badly? They don't want the attention from the truth. The victims will never get justice. Do not pray for him o
