A Day Meant for Camping Turns into a Mystery
On the morning of July 10, 2019, Arthur Eben Hill Jr., affectionately known as “Smiley,” was dropped off at the Nenana River near Anderson, Alaska, around 11:00 a.m. He intended to spend time camping in the area. Later that day, when his campsite was checked, his air mattress and swim trunks were missing. Authorities believe he may have attempted to float down the river, but a search turned up no sign of him.
The Search Efforts
Upon realizing Hill was missing, a comprehensive search operation was launched. The Alaska State Troopers coordinated efforts involving air, boat, and ground searches between the Rex Bridge and Nenana. Despite these extensive efforts, no trace of Hill was found. ...Read More
