Buckman, Jr., a White male standing approximately 6′1″–6′2″ tall and weighing 180–190 lb with black hair and brown eyes, vanished from a boat off the coast of Portland, Maine. He was aboard a recreational vessel returning to shore near Boon Island—a notorious rock outcrop off the Maine coast—when the craft capsized in rough seas .
