Roseline “Rose” Pawai, a 40-year-old Native Hawaiian woman, lived quietly in the Wainaku neighborhood of Hilo. On the evening of March 4, 1999, she was seen alive inside her home on Wainaku Street. That night, she vanished without trace, leaving behind a trail of unanswered questions.

Physical Description and Personal Effects

At the time of her disappearance, investigators described Pawai as standing 5 feet tall and weighing approximately 183 pounds, with short dark brown to black hair and brown eyes.
