Background on Morterrius Settles
Morterrius Dantonio Settles, known affectionately as “Boney” or “Boney‑Head,” was a 27‑year‑old African American man from North Memphis. Standing 6′3″ and weighing around 190 pounds, he had black hair , brown eyes, a light mustache and goatee, and visible tattoos on his arms and neck. On August 11, 2010, Settles was wearing a white T‑shirt and blue jeans when he mysteriously disappeared from the Aureen Manor Apartments, located at the corner of Chelsea and Tunica Streets.
