On the night of January 26, 2019, at approximately 10:00 p.m., a quiet, dead-end street in Southeast Washington, D.C., became the scene of a horrific crime. The 1500 block of Fort Davis Place SE, known for its tranquility and elderly residents, was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Three young men—26-year-olds Sean Shuler and Javon Abney, along with 24-year-old Tyrik Hagood—were lured to this location under mysterious circumstances. Upon arrival, they were ambushed and shot multiple times by gunmen, leading to their immediate deaths at the scene.
The Victims
The three victims shared more than just their age; they had deep-rooted connections to the same Southwest D.C. neighborhood.
