Discovery of the Crime Scene

On the morning of September 14, 2014, the congregation of Shiloh Tabernacle of Praise in Jacksonville, Florida, was preparing for their Sunday service when a horrifying discovery was made. Shortly after 9 a.m., a church member found the lifeless body of 25-year-old Jessica Beth Wolford in an open area adjacent to the church, located in the 3500 block of Chase Avenue. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO) was promptly notified, and detectives from the Homicide and Crime Scene Units arrived to initiate an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.

Witness Accounts and Initial Leads

In the early stages of the investigation, detectives gathered accounts from local residents who reported hearing gunshots around 5 a.m. on the day of the murder.
