A Community Shaken by Violence
On May 26, 2014, the Bayview District of San Francisco was rocked by a tragic event that left residents mourning and seeking answers. At approximately 5:15 p.m., gunfire erupted near the intersection of Keith Street and Palou Avenue, resulting in a triple shooting that claimed the life of 19-year-old Antonio Turner and left two others injured. The sudden violence disrupted the evening calm and cast a shadow over the community.
The Incident Unfolds
Responding to a ShotSpotter activation, San Francisco police arrived at the scene to find three victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Antonio Turner, a San Francisco resident, had sustained a critical gunshot wound to the chest. Despite being rushed to San Francisco General Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries. A 24-year-old woman was also found at the scene with a gunshot wound to her buttocks; she was expected to survive. The third victim, whose details remain undisclosed, was transported to the hospital by witnesses.
