On the evening of February 8, 2007, a sense of camaraderie filled the air at 121 NE 4th Ave in Boynton Beach, Florida. Friends gathered for a casual card game, a routine social event that fostered community bonds. Among the attendees was 58-year-old Alfred Mauvais, a man known for his warm presence and love for such gatherings. The night promised relaxation and friendly competition, but it would soon descend into chaos and tragedy.
The Violent Intrusion
As the card game progressed, the atmosphere abruptly shifted when armed men stormed into the home. The assailants, speaking Creole and notably unmasked, brandished weapons and demanded valuables from the startled group. Panic ensued as the intruders' aggressive commands shattered the previously peaceful setting.
