A Tragic Altercation Ends in Loss
On the morning of March 29, 2014, 26-year-old Aviance Caprice Mosley found himself entangled in a confrontation that would tragically cut his life short. Around 10:49 a.m., in the vicinity of West Pine Street and North Fremont Avenue in Tampa, an altercation erupted between Aviance and an unidentified Black male or males. The dispute escalated rapidly, culminating in Aviance being fatally shot. Despite the passage of time, the individuals responsible for this heinous act remain at large, leaving a family in mourning and a community yearning for answers.
A Life Remembered
Born as the second child to Jeffrey and Tonya Mosley, Aviance was a cherished member of his family. He was an active participant in his spiritual community, having joined the Pilgrims Rest Missionary Baptist Church. His educational journey took him through Hillsborough County Public Schools, attending both Plant and Blake Senior High Schools in Tampa.
