A Promising Life Cut Short
Jaquay Dajshon Rodgers was born on March 25, 1998, in Louisville, Kentucky, to proud parents Sherisa Rodgers and Eric Walker. From an early age, Jaquay exhibited a radiant smile that could illuminate any room, endearing him to family and friends alike. His journey in faith began at Mount Moriah Baptist Church, and he later attended Spirit Filled New Life Church Ministries under the guidance of Bishop Steven M. Kelsey.
Jaquay's passion for music was evident in his youth; he often transformed homework assignments into rap songs, creatively learning his ABCs and multiplication tables through rhythm and rhyme. However, it was on the football field where Jaquay truly shone. As a student at Maupin Elementary, Meyzeek Middle School, and Ballard High School, he was renowned for his athletic prowess, particularly as a quarterback. His dedication to the sport was matched only by his love for family gatherings and his culinary skills, especially his fondness for fried chicken.
