The Life of Decorian "Yuddy" Curry
Decorian A'Shawn Curry, affectionately known as "Yuddy," was born on November 22, 2001, in Louisville, Kentucky. He was a 17-year-old student at Western High School, known for his infectious humor and dedication to academics and basketball. Yuddy's vibrant personality endeared him to many, making his untimely death a profound loss for his community.
The Tragic Night
On May 25, 2019, Yuddy was attending a gathering with friends on South 42nd Street in Louisville's Shawnee neighborhood. Around 1:30 a.m., a white vehicle approached the gathering, and occupants opened fire. Yuddy was struck by a stray bullet and later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
