A Tragic Thanksgiving Eve in Grand Park
On the eve of Thanksgiving in 2014, the Grand Park neighborhood of Northwest Jacksonville was shattered by a senseless act of violence. Twenty-two-year-old Tommy Spells was fatally shot in a drive-by shooting near the intersection of 23rd and Division Street. As he attempted to cross the street, gunfire erupted, leaving the community in shock and mourning.
