A Mother's Day Gathering Turns Fatal

On the morning of Sunday, May 14, 2017, Mother's Day, a small gathering took place at a residence on the 3400 block of Boise Avenue in Birmingham, Alabama. Among the attendees was 32-year-old Tyler Griffin, who joined friends to celebrate the occasion. The atmosphere was congenial until an unexpected altercation erupted between Tyler and another individual present at the gathering.
