Introduction to a Tragic Loss

On December 1, 2016, the Park Hill neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky, was shaken by the tragic death of 19-year-old Javon Jackson. Javon was fatally shot near the intersection of 12th and Hill Streets, marking the city's 108th homicide of that year.
