A Tragic Evening in Southeast D.C.
On the evening of August 14, 2019, the tranquility of Washington, D.C.'s Southeast neighborhood was shattered by the sound of gunfire. At approximately 9:05 p.m., 25-year-old Delante Colson was found unconscious with multiple gunshot wounds in the 1900 block of Frederick Douglass Court, SE. Despite prompt medical attention, Delante succumbed to his injuries, leaving a community in mourning and a family devastated.
