A Tragic Discovery

On October 24, 2011, the quiet neighborhood of Veda Street in Tallahassee, Florida, was shattered by a horrifying discovery. Inside their modest home at 2703 Veda Street, 31-year-old Yamada Sheree Bell Siplin and her husband, 31-year-old Jermaine Wendell Siplin, were found brutally murdered. The couple had been shot while asleep in their bed, and their front door showed signs of forced entry, having been violently kicked in. Adding to the tragedy, a juvenile in the home sustained serious injuries from the attack but survived. This gruesome event not only devastated their family but also left the community in fear and search of answers.

Remembering Yamada and Jermaine

Yamada, affectionately known as Sheree, was celebrated for her unwavering dedication as a mother. At the time of her death, she was a full-time student at Tallahassee Community College, balancing her academic pursuits with her responsibilities at home.
