On August 11, 2010, the city of Louisville, Kentucky, was shaken by the tragic murder of 30-year-old Pernell Antonio Dillard Sr. Born on August 1, 1980, Dillard was a beloved son, father, and friend. His untimely death left a void in the lives of those who knew him, and the community has been yearning for answers ever since.
The Fateful Night
That evening, Dillard was visiting his best friend, John Beamus, at Beamus's mother's home located at 1139 S 28th Street in West Louisville. Both men were on the front porch when, shortly before midnight, they were ambushed and fatally shot.
