On February 7, 2015, the tranquility of West Hill Street in Louisville was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Responding to reports of shots fired around 4:15 a.m., officers discovered a harrowing scene: 30-year-old Aaron Combs and his fiancée, 28-year-old Julie Clemons, had been brutally shot to death inside their home. Aaron was found near the front door, suggesting he was attacked upon answering it, while Julie's lifeless body was discovered in an upstairs closet.
