A Tragic Night in Savannah
On the night of November 18, 2014, a sense of normalcy enveloped the Hampstead Oaks Apartments in Savannah, Georgia. Families were settling in, and the quiet hum of evening routines filled the air. Inside apartment 204D, two-year-old Kiaja "KiKi" Smalls was peacefully asleep on the living room sofa, unaware of the impending danger. At approximately 11 p.m., the tranquility was shattered as multiple gunshots erupted, piercing the walls and windows of the residence.

Kiaja, affectionately known as "KiKi," was struck twice by the bullets that tore through her home.
