A Tragic Morning in Golden Hill

On the morning of November 5, 2014, the quiet neighborhood of Golden Hill in San Diego was shattered by a violent act. At approximately 6:40 a.m., 41-year-old Vaafuti "Vaa" Togiailua was seated in his parked car on the 900 block of 26th Street when an unidentified assailant approached and opened fire. Togiailua sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his chest and head, leading to his hospitalization. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries on November 9, 2014.
