A maintenance worker for GB Maintenance at the Currituck rest stop US Highway 158 Coinjock while emptying the trash containers on 8/1/87 at 7:15 am found a plastic bag containing the body of a newborn w/f with umbilical cord and placenta intact, wrapped in a multicolor towel. The body was transferred to the ECU Office of the Regional Medical Examiner. No leads have been developed.
