On the morning of 08/30/2024 the decedent was the pedestrian walking southbound along Mapleview Street in Lakeside and was struck by a vehicle. The driver called 911 and paramedics responded and was transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital for further medical intervention; however, he was unable to be revived and his death was pronounced on the afternoon of the same day.
