On 07/03/1964, an unknown informant reported they found the decedent decomposed in a transient encampment east of Hwy 111 and the railroad tracks, at the continuation of Avenue 56, in Thermal. When deputies arrived, they found the decedent under trees. His death was confirmed without medical intervention. He was estimated to be around 65 years old.
