Remains discovered in a wooded area approximately 125 ft south of the roadway at the above location, by a road survey crew. Remains found clad in bluejeans and black boots. On 6/11/98, approximately one month prior to discovery of the remains, an unknown individual wearing the same clothes and matching the description of the deceased (black male) was observed walking along I-10, acting ill and disoriented. When authorities (Baldwin, FL Fire Dept.) responded to assist, the individual insisted he was ok and then fled into the woods. This incident occured approximately 50 yards west of where the remains were later found.
