On July 22, 2018, a male body was discovered in the remote desert landscape near Three Points, Arizona. The discovery was made by a United States Border Patrol (USBP) canine unit, which was conducting a routine patrol in the area. The body, identified as a male but with no accompanying documentation to confirm identity beyond a single ID card, labeled the individual as Gerardo Gilbon-Hernandez, was found amidst the arid and sparsely populated terrain.
