On December 1, 2021, the body of a male, later identified as Anthony Vanderhoof, was discovered in Cadillac, Michigan, after a tragic accident. The unfortunate incident occurred when Vanderhoof was struck by a vehicle while he was walking along the roadway. Despite efforts from local authorities and related agencies, attempts to locate any next of kin for Vanderhoof have been unsuccessful. The case has subsequently been labeled as involving an unclaimed person.
