Evelina F. Krout was discovered unresponsive at her residence in Honolulu, Hawaii, on November 29, 2018. Despite efforts to resuscitate her, she was pronounced dead at the scene. The circumstances surrounding her death led to the involvement of the Department of the Medical Examiner, which took charge of the investigation and the care of her remains. Despite repeated attempts to identify next of kin or any claims made to her body, her case remains open and unresolved.
