On the morning of March 17, 2020, a male body was discovered at a city bus stop in Honolulu, Hawaii. Passersby found the individual, later identified as Daniel M. Mesa-Valdes, lying on his back and unresponsive. Despite the quick response of an Institute for Human Services (IHS) employee who called 911, Daniel was pronounced dead at the scene.
