On April 3, 2019, law enforcement officers conducted a welfare check that led to the discovery of Richard Dewayne Adams at his residence in Houston, Texas. Responding to concerns from community members or possibly local contacts who reported not having seen or heard from him for an unusual amount of time, officers entered the home.
