On June 28, 2018, in the quiet neighborhood of Raleigh in north Memphis, Tennessee, the lifeless body of 72-year-old Kirby Gene Thurman was discovered by friends in his residence. The initial investigation quickly determined that Thurman's death resulted from natural causes, which provided some relief to those who knew him.
