On February 22, 2013, the body of an unidentified male later identified as Jose-Audiel Vargas-Ibarra was discovered in the Rio Grande River in Hidalgo, Texas. The circumstances surrounding his death and the discovery of his body remain shrouded in mystery. Despite efforts to piece together his final moments and identify any potential acquaintances or family members, much about Vargas-Ibarra's life and how he came to be in the river remains unknown.
