On February 12, 2017, John Carl Williams, a resident of Boise, Idaho, passed away at the Idaho State Veterans Home due to pneumonia caused by influenza. Despite the efforts to trace any relatives who might want to claim his body, it became evident that Mr. Williams’ next of kin were unable to afford the burial or cremation expenses. Consequently, Ada County's Indigent Services intervened to cover these costs, ensuring that he would receive the appropriate final arrangements.
