On April 9, 2022, the body of Donald Reid Smitherman was discovered in Garland, Texas. He was later officially pronounced deceased in Dallas, Texas. Despite efforts to identify and locate his next of kin, Smitherman remains an unclaimed person, and authorities continue to seek any relatives or individuals who may have known him.
