On July 20, 2015, the body of a male identified as William Lopez was discovered in Dallas, Texas. Despite efforts to trace his family, Lopez remains an unclaimed person nearly a decade later. He was officially pronounced deceased in Dallas, and the case has since been under the jurisdiction of the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Science.
