On June 13, 2012, the body of Angel Luis Ramos was discovered in Dallas, Texas. Following the recovery, he was officially pronounced deceased in Dallas, and authorities began efforts to identify and locate his next of kin. Despite investigative attempts, his case remains open as an unclaimed person.
